Embracing The Culture
Introduction
As Christians we are neither to be cut off from or out of our culture, nor to be copycats of our culture. Rather, we are to be sent into it and involved with it—just as God the Father sent God the Son. Similarly, Jesus sends us out into the world in ministry with His message.

- In all conditions, Joseph was faithful to God and the Lord was faithful with Joseph. Is that characteristic of us in our military culture and community?
- When faced with cultural challenges, how did Daniel and his fellow believers follow the Lord, and what were the results, before their leaders, officials, and others?
- How are we light and salt among others? Do our good works glorify us, or God?
- Do we understand and fulfill the 3 relationships Jesus explains to His followers?
- If Jesus prayed for you, what differences does that make for you in the military?
- What are aspects of the Incarnation, for your being sent into the world by Jesus?
- Can Christians ask for justice, not only from God but also through secular systems?
- How important is our mind in growing and serving as Christian in non-Christian cultures, military commands, and area communities?

- What are our methods and our message in our ministry as ambassadors for Christ?
- Before His ascension into heaven, Jesus promised power to His disciples but also gave them a task, “… you shall be my witnesses …” (Acts 1:8). Identify specific methods and means a believer can employ in the secular culture to give evidence of the living God and His work. What will I do beginning now in my normal daily experience? What can I additionally do to reach further with a witness for Christ?
