“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32, ESV).
Women in uniform: Join us as we gather together to explore the forgiveness we receive from the Lord and how that extends to our personal and professional lives. White Sulphur Springs Conference Center is hosting the annual Leading Women Retreat for uniformed women, whether past, present, or future. The weekend will feature speaker sessions, great meals provided by WSS’ kitchen, and free time activities like horseback rides and time around the campfire in the scenic Allegheny Mountains.
Navy veteran Kristin Goodrich and Air Force veteran Tami Waring look forward to leading these sessions together to encourage you in your faith journey in military life. Bring another uniformed woman in order to influence our service members for the sake of the gospel!
What others are saying about Leading Women Retreats:
“I’ll be a fourth generation Navy officer, but the first female in my family. While I’ve spent years watching Christian officers exhibit their faith in their work and home life, I’ve very rarely had a chance to see it in female Christian officers. Before I start OCS and eventually my first duty station, I want to be equipped with a greater understanding of what it means to be a Christian woman in the military who leads excellently, both professionally and morally. I was invited to Leading Women by two close friends who are female JOs with intensely strong walks with the Lord, and I look forward to fellowshipping with other women of the same caliber.”
-Mary Ann Rouland
“In my job, I’m often the only Christian and/or the only woman in the room. When I’m with other women, more often than not, they either don’t share my faith and/or understand my professional calling. And when I’m at church, although we are unified in Christ and that far surpasses any other difference, my schedule/lifestyle simply doesn’t always align with others in a manner that can unfortunately inhibit deeper relationships. At events like Leading Women, I don’t have to translate. Every woman present innately understands the things I struggle to explain elsewhere, and every woman present can navigate the joys, comedies, and difficulties of this life together.”
-LTJG Brigit Jogan, USCG
