Topic: Proverbs: Living Wisely in an Age of Folly
Multiple sources for knowledge abound at our fingertips today – Google, social media, AI – yet we live in an “Age of Folly”. Like the prophet Jeremiah’s day, right is called wrong, wrong is called right, and God’s wisdom is called foolishness. To His people God says, “So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise” (Eph. 5:15). But living wisely is challenging in life’s complexity. Proverbs practically instructs us on the nature of wisdom, its purpose, and its application.
Guest Ambassadors: COL Steve and Miriam Shambach, USA (Ret.)
Concurrent Programs Available: Rocky Mountain High (July 20-27), Father Teen Adventure (Father-Daughter) (July 20-27)
Designed for ROTC and Academy cadets and midshipmen, RMH is open to all college students and recent grads who desire to grow in their Christian faith and learn more about leadership. Young future leaders are challenged mentally, physically, and spiritually during a week-long adventure in the American West and inspired to live out their faith in their chosen professions.
Cultivating good family life in our fast-paced, “plugged-in” culture is not always an easy task. Constant busyness and messaging from outside influences can easily sidetrack us from deep relationships, both in our walk as Christians and in our relationships with our family. Sometimes we need to unplug from our daily routine and spend some time in a different environment to deepen relationships between dads and teenagers and to help facilitate the important transition from teenager to grown men and women. Father Teen Adventure is a unique program developed to help fathers and teens meet this need.
