Equip women members toward effective lay-indigenous work.
Help teach and encourage OCF leaders in engaging women.
Develop and sustain relationships with OCF women, especially OCF local leaders, coordinators, present/former council members, and leaders in other military ministries.
Communicate field insights, member updates, and feedback to staff.
Investigate concerns when requested. Recognize positive examples of lay-led women ministry and promote OCF and its resources to the military community.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: The Director of Women’s Ministry should have an in-depth grasp of the history, workings, and purpose of OCF. She should understand and speak the cultural language of the various DOD and DHS military communities. She must possess Biblical knowledge coupled with an understanding of how to apply the Scripture within a military culture. This Director needs good interpersonal relationship skills to walk alongside staff, members, and supporters. This Director must demonstrate integrity of personal, home, and professional life in order that OCF members are encouraged and inspired by example, word, and reputation. It is preferred that the Director of Women’s Ministry has experience serving in the military herself.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a volunteer position performed outside of the Home Office. Extensive travel is required in support of the above-listed activities. Many hours are spent in a vehicle, on planes, in member homes, and on military installations. Connectivity is maintained using various technologies.
